My Trip to Nocturnal Wonderland

A few weeks ago I went with a group of friends to a rave called Nocturnal Wonderland. If you haven’t ever been to a rave before it is a giant festival consisting electronic dance music. The vibes and energy there cannot compare to anywhere else, and I promise you if you make a trip to your first rave you won’t regret it in the least. Everyone is so loving and nice, and every time I go to a rave I feel at home. The festival consisted of two days and lasted from 5 pm to 2 am. The group of friends I went with were absolutely amazing, and I wouldn’t have wanted to go with anyone else.

The first day we got to the venue located at Glen Helen Amphitheater around 6 pm and immediately went to the main stage. Overall, I think day one was my favorite day because I go to see my favorite DJ named Jai Wolf. His music is really chill and has feel good vibes. Hearing his music can always lift my spirits and put me in a better mood. I linked below a you tube video of my favorite song by him just so you can get a better feel about what I’m talking about.

On the second day we meet up with a bunch of our guy friends from high school. It was really cool to catch up with old friends, and dance and rave with them all night. The pictures below will let you see my friends and I, and help you get a feel on what the rave experience is really like. When we were walking out of the rave you pass by a bunch of hot dog strands, and oh my gosh buy one because they are freaking amazing and you won’t regret it.  We had to call an uber and the cost ended up being $80 because of the demand, so I recommend leaving the even a little earlier to avoid this as when we left just thirty minutes early the day before the uber was only $25.

Some important tips to keep in mind if this is your first rave is first to remember your ID as they will always check at the front gates since most events are 18+. Secondly, and i can’t stress this enough, make sure to bring a water pack or empty reusable water bottle it is very important to stay hydrated during raves because more than likely you are going to be hot and sweaty. Third, make sure to stay with your group try not to wander off or separate because the phone reception is horrible making it really hard to find your fiends again, but if you do need to split up for whatever reason come up with a common meeting point, Lastly, make sure to HAVE FUN!! Make your first rave memorable, and don’t be afraid to dance the night away into the morning.

My Trip to Havasu

Over the summer, my family and I took a trip to Lake Havasu located in Lake Havasu City in Arizona. My Uncle Dave booked us an AirbNb right on the water for my sister’s birthday, and she was so excited. My uncle has two jet skis, and my dad’s friend has a boat. We packed up all of our stuff, and hit the road to head out to Arizona.

The first night we got there we head out onto the Lake after checking into our condo, and went tubing. My dad’s friend, named Mike, whipped us so hard and fast that we flew off the raft and smacked onto the water harder than I could have ever imagined. At night we hung out by the shore with family and friends, and ordered pizza to eat on the boat.

The second day we got out onto the water early, and ended up taking a boat ride over to a restaurant on the water. I forget the name of it, but they had the best pasta ever. It was really fun being able to spend time with family that we don’t get to see all the time, and just enjoy lunch together. Later on during the day a huge storm hit, and the drive back was completely dreadful. The seadoos were sinking and the boat continued to nosedive and flood with water. We finally made it back safe and definitely had a interesting story to tell after.

On our last day, my sister’s birthday, we headed over to a place called Crystal Cove. They have a restaurant and like a little resort and camping options. My Uncle let my sister and I drive the seadoos, and let me tell you they are a fun time. If you haven’t ever road a seadoo I definitely recommend it being something you try sooner than later. On the way back we got the skis into the water, and I got up my first time. Water skiing is super fun, and has always been something I enjoy doing. I tried to wakeboard, but was never able to get up on it.

Overall the trip was a lot of fun surrounded by friends and family. If you have yet to take a trip out to Lake Havasu I definitely recommend taking the time to do so. The weather and water is perfect for the summer, and the amount of things to do there is endless. It’s the perfect place for a vacation or weekend getaway for those of all ages!

My Trip to New York

A week before classes started again I decided to take a trip out to New York to visit an old friend from high school. I bought my ticket, and headed to the Buffalo area of New York. When she picked me up the drive was so gorgeous because everything is green and lucious I couldn’t believe my eyes. It is completely different from California, and I guess that’s because we don’t really get much rain… like ever.

The first day there we just went out to eat at this increible burger place, and I really wish they had something like this in California because it was probably the best burger I have ever had in my life. The name of the burger was ironically the California burger and had all the fixings on it. After dinner, we checked into this super cute hotel that had a waterpark, and of course free breakfast which is always nice. The room only costed $65, and you forsure can’t find a deal that good in California.

The second day there we went to this cute little breakfast spot, and I got my go to at every place, a ham and cheese omelette. We then took off to see Niagara Falls which I was really looking forward to. Once arriving we hiked this trail to get closer to the falls, so I could get a better view. My friend seeing Niagara falls a few times now knew all the perfect viewpoints to take me. Once arriving I truly could not believe my eyes. It took me by surprise just how beautiful nature can be. Pictures of Niagara Falls do not do it justice whatsoever, so I 10/10 recommend you putting this beautiful site on your bucket list as a must see spot.

Although we never made it to New York City, which is still one of my places to travel, Buffalo was truly a fun experience and site to see. I still can’t get over just how gorgeous everything in that little town really is, and if you haven’t seen it already I recommend taking a trip there as soon as you can because you will not have any regrets about it afterwards.

My Trip to Mexico

This summer my friends and I spontaneously decided to take a trip to Mexico for YG’s album release party in Rosarito at Papa’s and Beer. We bought our tickets and packed our bags and headed to Mexico. One of my friends booked and AirBnb that was right on the water. Our view was amazing, and we had a porch and a balcony to chill out on overlooking the ocean. The first day there we walked down to Papa’s and Beer because it was less than a mile walk. On the way there I saw a lady doing hair braids, so I got my hair braided in three braids on the right side of my head and it looked super cute. We then headed to the bar and ordered our first legal drinks. Starting at seven there was one dollar tequila shots, margaritas, and tacos. The tacos were for sure the best tacos I have ever had, and I would 10/10 recommend if you are a taco lover.

On the second day out in Mexico we were too lazy to walk down to Papa’s and Beer, so we got a taxi and I swear we almost died by how horrible that taxi driver drove. Good news is we made it there safe, and even better there was a open bar from one to four in the afternoon. We hung out there the whole day, and it was an absolute blast. Later on in the night YG finally came on around ten, and we were all so excited because this is the moment we had been waiting for. The performance was so good, and what made it even better was being around company. I would definitely have to recommend going to Mexico with a great group of friends you will not regret it.

My travel advice would have to be to definitely hit up Papa’s and Beer while you are there, and make sure to get yourself some bomb tacos while you’re at it you won’t regret it. My other advice would have to be make sure you leave super early if you plan on leaving on a Sunday. In total it took us nine hours to get home when it should have only been a two hour drive. We were stuck in traffic for seven hours waiting to cross the border back into California. It was horrible, and I remember having to pee so bad and having to wait for the bathroom close to the border and the lady charged me to pee! Overall, the trip was a memorable one, and I would recommend taking a much needed vacation to Rosarito, Mexico.

My Trip to Alaska

After graduating high school my mom surprised me with a plane ticket to visit my cousin out in Alaska. Her husband was stationed there out in the Army, so it was the perfect opportunity to visit a new place in the world. We hit all the tourist places, and the food out there was delicious. Once I landed in Alaska and my cousin picked me up from the airport she immediately told me that they were already out camping in the RV, and we were going back to meet up with her husband and his friend. It was midnight at the time, and it was shockingly still light outside which is something I was definitely not used to. We were able to ride dirtbikes and quads all through the night because during the summer it only gets dark for roughly around two hours between three to five am then the sun comes back out again. It was really strange to be sitting around the campfire at two in the morning with the sun still out, and this made it especially hard to sleep without blackout curtains.

On the first day I was there we took a train through the depth of Alaska, and saw moose, bald eagles, and many other wildlife. Everything is Alaska is so much greener than in California I could not get over it. The second day we took a shuttle up a mountain and then hiked to see a glacier. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking, and you can see my cousin and I in front of the glacier in the picture below. The third day I was there we took a tram at the Alyeska resort and made it all the way to the top of the mountain where there was a museum with facts about Alaska. It was very intriguing to learn about Alaska’s history, and the view was incredible too not to mention how great the food was at the restaurant we went to. I remember clear as day ordering salmon with rice and veggies, and it was the best fish I have ever had to this day. The next day in Alaska we went on a glacier cruise through the waters of Alaska, and I was able to see many glaciers and ice caps floating in the water. We also saw a pod of Orca whales and sea otters floating in the water. We got fish and chips during the trip, and got to order glacier margaritas made with the ice scooped out of the water from chunks floating off the glaciers.

All in all, my trip to Alaska was an unforgettable one. I would recommend if you ever decide to travel to Alaska to go to all the places I mentioned above in order to have the full experience. Take the time to enjoy all the beautiful sites Alaska has to offer because it is unlike any other place in the world, and is full with new and exciting adventures that you can’t get anywhere else. Going to Alaska made me have a greater appreciation for nature, and really let me open up to just how gorgeous different sites on earth can truly be.
